Prophetic truth is vital to living the Christian life with excellence.  Prophesy is not, as some argue, to satisfy our curiosity about future events.  Prophecy reminds us that God is indeed sovereign in this world and that everything is headed towards God’s predetermined end.  Furthermore, prophetic truth informs us clearly that what we do or do not do in this present life has consequences in the future. Yes, it does give us much detailed information about end time events, but these are to aid us in developing a Biblical worldview for life right now.
